Capcom released a new trailer for the upcoming horror game Resident Evil: Village. The trailer explains more of the game’s setup, with hints of the game’s story. The game will be available some time in 2021.
The trailer gives us a little more context behind a scene from the last trailer, involving one Chris Redfield. In this trailer, it appears he storms protagonist Ethan’s house, before having him knocked out.
We also get a voiceover by Ethan’s wife, Mia. She tells a seemingly innocuous story about a girl in the woods. This is the same story present in the first trailer for Resident Evil: Village. Knowing the Resident Evil games, this is probably somewhat relevant to the game’s plot.
We also get more shots of the game’s titular village. The residents seem to be afraid of something, but we’re not entirely sure what. There are also strange, werewolf-like creatures roaming about.
The final shot of the trailer is a castle in the snow, where no doubt some Umbrella-adjacent laboratory is lying in wait.
We still haven’t been shown how Ethan can defend himself in this game, but the first person angles mean it’s likely to be more like Resident Evil 7.
