Fans of old-school RPG Octopath Traveler should get excited as more news regarding the mobile spin-off is on the horizon. The release date for Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent will be announced September 18th.

“Thank you for waiting for a very long time,” the tweet reads. “We will announce the delivery date of this work on 9/18 (Friday). We will also send you detailed information about the game and the latest trailer, so please check the tweets from this account!”
Meanwhile, the game has also passed 500,000 pre-registrations. To celebrate, Yasunori Nishiki released a new song from the upcoming game.
The mobile RPG was supposed to release in 2019, until the game had to be delayed. It was previously reported the game would come out in 2020, though we’ll have to wait until the 18th to find out.
The game will release on Japanese Android and iOS devices.
