Mobile RPG Lord Of Heroes is now available to download worldwide. The game, made by CloverWorks, is available on Android devices.
The game was previously available in South Korea, although English versions were available. Today, however, marks its official worldwide release. Though it is available on the Korean app store for iOS, it is not currently available worldwide.
Rather than follow the mold for many gacha games, Lord of Heroes director Seong-Kuk Yun wanted to try improving on mobile gameplay mechanics.
“The most beloved and highly revered games always find a way to show us something new amidst the familiar, which is exactly what we wanted to do with Lord of Heroes”, he says.
While the game has you needing to recruit characters for your party, the game does not have gacha mechanics. Rather, you can buy characters directly for real money. Additionally, you can acquire characters through the game’s story.
“Some people might not like the game for not having suggestive or violent content, or for not requiring all of your time”, says Seong-Kuk Yun. “However, we hope for the game to be one that you can easily introduce to your family and friends, and one that will be a natural part of—not an obstacle to—your everyday life”.
