While Tales of Crestoria is slowly gaining popularity, there comes an influx of new players wanting to try out the game but have no idea on where to start regarding farming for materials for their characters. Thus, this guide is to help out those beginners who are in need of assistance.
– Player Rank / Level –
Player rank or level is basically the main visual progression of your own account in Tales of Crestoria. This can be found at the top left corner in the Main Menu screen.
Your player rank determines the max AP your account has. The higher your player rank, the more AP you have. Gaining player level EXP is simple and comes in many ways, just about everything you do gives you player level EXP but the most notable ways to get EXP is by:
- Completing Story content
- Doing Quests
– Elixirs & Elemental Memoria Stones –
Each heroes are divided into their own elements. By giving them the elemental elixirs, players can level up their heroes under the {Train} section.
While it’s fine to give your heroes any type of elixirs, it’s best to give your heroes the same elemental elixir as your heroes’ elemental type for bonus hero EXP. The main way to get these elixirs are from:
- Story
- Arena
- Power-up Quest rewards
Speaking of the power-up quests, the rewards changes daily so for today might consist of fire, water, earth elixirs, tomorrow would feature the other 3 elements. For each day, you’ll be able to get a quest that gives out Rainbow Elixir which is a normal elixir but it’s compatible for all the elemental types.
Next would be the Memoria Stones. There are two types of Memoria Stones, the first would be the elemental Memoria Stones where it’s used for raising the stats of your Hero. The next type is the Hero Memoria Stones, these are used for {Ascend} which basically increases your Heroes’ skills and the Mystic Arte.
The way you get these are from:
- Power-Up Quest rewards (Elemental Memoria Stone)
- Summoning Duplicate Heroes (Hero Memoria Stone)
– Adorn Stones –
Adorn Stones are used to power up your heroes even further beyond! Players can use these Adorn Stones under the {Adorn} section when the Hero’s Memoria Stone is maxed out.
These can be achieved through:
- Main Story rewards
- Challenge Missions
- Guild Point Summons (Donating items & Gald for Guild Points)
– Artes Tomes –
As the name suggests, Artes Tomes are used to level up your Hero’s Artes skills. Similar to the elemental elixirs, Arte Tomes have different elements as well and by giving the correct element to your Hero’s Arte Skill, it gains bonus EXP. A true work of Arte.
The ways to get these Arte Tomes are from:
- Guild rewards
- Raid rewards
– Gald –
Gald is Tales of Crestoria’s equivalent to Gold. Although it’s not all that important at the moment, the main use for it at the moment would be to donate it to your guild in exchange for other materials.
The way you get Gald is mainly from:
- Gald Quest
– Ascension Materials –
Ascension is where you unlock your Hero’s potential. And by that I mean unlocking their maximum hero level. At the moment, a hero’s maximum level cap is 100.
Ascension materials are gained through:
- Story rewards (By clicking on the material, it’ll show where you can get the specific materials)
- Raid rewards
– Phantom Towers –
Phantom Towers is a floor based challenge where you gain materials every time you ascend a floor. With a maximum of 30 floors (not 100 like in Aincrad), players can only redeem each floor rewards only once.
The rewards for the Phantom Towers change each month so players are feel to get the rewards anytime during that time-frame.
The materials that you’re able to get from clearing the Phantom Tower are:
- Gleamstones
- Gald
- Rainbow Elixirs
- Rainbow Memoria Stones
- Limited Hero Memoria Stones (By clearing all 30 floors)
– Friendship Points –
Friendship points are used for friendship point summons. The way you get these friendship points is by clearing raids with your friends or by using their heroes as supports or for them to use your heroes as supports. So grab your favorite nakamas and fight some monsters!
The friendship points can be exchanged for:
- Ingredients (Used to create Meals which give bonuses during battle)
- Elixirs
- Gald
- Arte Tomes
– Arena, Raid Medals, Exchange Shops –
Arena is where the PVP battles occurs. Fight against other players and earn your rightful glory. Rewards are given out based off seasons that resets after a week. The main material you get from Arena are Arena Medals.
The items you get from Arena consist of:
- Elixirs
- Gald
- Memoria Stones
- Arena Medals (These can be exchanged for other items such as Arena Summon tickets, gels, etc)
Raids on the other hand are battles where you join with other players to face off against powerful foes. The rewards they give you contains various of items and most importantly raid medals.
Raid Medals can be exchanged for:
- SSR Memoria Stones (Needs Gold Raid medals from Hard difficulty Raids)
- SR Memoria Stones (Needs Silver Raid medals from Normal difficulty Raids)
– Gleamstones –
These are the currency that you use to summon for heroes. Gleamstones puts the gacha element into Tales of Crestoria. Although a bit hard to pinpoint where it is at first, the amount of Gleamstones that you currently have is shown on the top right side of the main menu.
The different ways you can get Gleamstones are from:
- Doing dailies
- Time box (Unlocks daily at set intervals)
- Challenge Missions
- Phantom Tower
- Arena
- Story Missions
And that just about covers all the important materials for beginners. Good luck and keep grinding.
