Via the official Garena Arena of Valor Facebook page, it would appear that the popular MOBA will be doing a crossover with Sword Art Online.
This follows an image of Alice wielding two swords posted by the team which sparked the initial wave of rumours of the impending collaboration. The swords in question bear resemblance to the ones wielded by Kirito of Sword Art Online, and as it turns out, there will be some kind of event related to them, although specifics are unknown at this juncture.

In any case, the collaboration has Kirito and Asuna as playable units, each with their own unique abilities. The game has had great success with the inclusion of DC heroes, so having the developer diversify its collaboration portfolio is something to be expected. It is difficult to gauge the response of this, but if this turns out to be a success, we definitely we will be seeing more Sword Art Online characters making an appearance in Arena of Valor. Even better yet, we could see different characters from different IPs altogether, although the developer will have to find a balance or risk having its identity diluted.
