For League and card game enthusiasts combined, Legends of Runeterra will launch 30 April! Southeast Asia regions will be getting it 1 May, according to the official Facebook page. Check out the launch trailer below:
Besides the support for iOS and Android devices, which includes crossplay between mobile and PC, the game’s first new set of cards and Region will likewise see release, with its own playstyle and mechanics, according to PC Gamer. Players have been trying out the game since its open beta in certain countries since January, so this would be an exciting time for them to try out new decks.
There’s been changes to the progression system during the beta, with cards being easier to earn and weekly rewards being more generous. New players shouldn’t have much to worry to catch up to the open beta players, in this case. Progress will not be wiped for those currently playing.
The total number of cards will reach 400 with the newest set of over 120 cards. No details on the cards, nor the Region, have been known yet, but card reveals should start gradually happening as we approach the official launch of Legends of Runeterra. You can check out our first-hand attempts at the game here, before changes were implemented. Starting the game before 7 May will also entitle you to something special when the game launches!
