LEVEL UP KL has announced that its 2020 iteration will be postponed to 2021. The brief notice on their Facebook merely states as such:
Hi All, with a heavy heart, we are announcing that we will be postponing Level Up KL 2020 to 2021.
Current conditions have made it uncertain for us to commit to having a public event. Till then Game On and see you next year.
We would have probably expected the event to be towards the end of the year around November as usual, but even June events such as E3 and Taipei Game Show have also been cancelled. As you might expect, this postponement is due to the current climate of coronavirus concerns. They had actually announced the event as “Coming Soon” as early as 27 March but well, that will no longer be coming to pass.
LEVEL UP KL 2020, were it not postponed, would have hosted developers and industry people from the Asia region, as well as announcements regarding Larian Studios and Sony Interactive opening offices within Malaysia. Were it possible, organizers could consider moving digital with how the aforementioned events have also mentioned plans for online events, but we’ll have to see how it goes. Be sure to stay home and safe during this time!
