Illogical Games has released the iOS and Android Meka Hunters on 31 March 2020, a wholly made in Malaysia game! If you head over to the Google Play Store right now, you might see it featured by none other than Google themselves in the New Releases, New and Updated Collection and Indie Corner categories. Now here’s one game you should keep an eye on!
Meka Hunters has managed to be a finalist for LEVELUP KL‘s SEA GAMES AWARDS for 2 years running for 2018/2019, and was MDEC’s IPCC 2018 winner, and all this by one person. Amarul Natenan of Illogical Games has been mostly developing indie offline games since 2011, branching out to his first multiplayer game with Meka Hunters. Considering it got Google’s attention, call Meka Hunters a great success for the Malaysia indie game dev scene!
Meka Hunters is a casual Online Third Person Shooter game using the titular mechs. Control a MEKA that you can level up infinitely until death. Upgrades are gotten randomly on each level up, but enough levels can make a MEKA incredibly powerful. On defeat, the MEKA drops all EXP for other players to collect.
Survival of the fittest, where you work to get the highest score instead of being the last person standing. When someone is eliminated, a new player will take their place to ensure the arena is always full. How long can you stay alive among the 11 others also vying for the highest score? Should there be not enough players, the remaining slots will be filled with bots, so take advantage of those to rack up some more score!
There’s no Y-axis control so no precision aiming is required, making Meka Hunters incredibly easy to pick up. All In-App Purchases are cosmetics only, so nobody can buy their way to power.
If a mech battle game sounds great to you, then go right ahead and play Meka Hunters!
Meka Hunters is a casual multiplayer Third Person Shooter .io with mechs. Fight other players online in in a free for all semi battle royale match.
Slightly different rule of Battle Royale; Instead of fighting to be the last one standing, player fights to get to the highest score possible until they died. New player will join in the arena once a player is eliminated. Get to the highest score and stay for as long as you could.
