We’d reported on A3: Still Alive way back in 2018, and the game is now available in Korea. In fact, it launched on 12 March 2020, just yesterday! The return of A3 had also mentioned a 30-player battle royale mode, which players can try out for themselves. A3: Still Alive is meant to be a mix of MMORPG and Battle Royale, to tap into two markets at once.
“A3: Still Alive is Netmarble’s fresh try at the game market. It is a completely new genre that converges a massively multiplayer role-playing game, which is popular in Korea, and Battle Royale game, which is popular overseas.”

This move is quite reminiscent of Pearl Abyss striking out into the battle royale market with Shadow Arena, which has since concluded its closed beta on Steam. You can check out our review of that game over here.
With it being so new, it’s understandable that there would be bugs, with those involving the battle royale mode currently being worked on. As for a global launch of A3: Still Alive, Netmarble has said it will only be available once the game has gotten a good foothold in its local South Korea market first, as well as mentioning that “each overseas launch requires thorough localization of the game.” Keep an eye out!
