Kimetsu no Yaiba mobile game announced for 2020

Perhaps, at long last, Kimetsu no Yaiba will be receiving a mobile game adaptation in 2020, known as Kimetsu no Yaiba Chifuu Kengeki Royal. Twitter user Spytrue shared an image of magazine leaks showing a visual for the game.

The game will be published by Aniplex and developed by Soleil. With most mobile game adaptations, it’s very likely this Kimetsu no Yaiba game will have microtransactions as well as gacha. While details are not currently available, rumours are speculating the game will be a la Dead by Daylight. It would at least make sense to have four of the Demon Slayers be pitted against one demon in some kind of asymmetrical gameplay, based off the source material.

Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Chifuutan is also mentioned in the magazine, a PS4 game announced for 2021. This console game also has no details at present. In any case, official announcement trailers alongside more information should be available in the coming days, so stay tuned!

There has been a mini game of sorts that came with the anime adaptation of Kimetsu no Yaiba by Ufotable, called Kimetsu no Renma. It’s a runner-type game, which you can watch below featuring Tanjiro’s voice actor, Hanae Natsuki.
