Japan-based developers Cygames has finally shown off the first gameplay trailer for its upcoming smartphone game, Uma Musume: Pretty Derby at AnimeJapan 2017.
The trailer showcases gameplay aspects such as running practice, an intense training session and even studying. You will play the role of a trainer of a certain Tresen Academy, which filled with unique horse girls. Said horse girls will rely on to bring out their fullest potential in heart-pounding races, where victory will grant you “Winning Live” concerts.
At first glance, Uma Musume: Pretty Derby seems to be a cross between the famed iDOLM@STER series (it’s the same producer after all) and your traditional horse racing game. Akihiro Ishihara, who previously served as iDOLM@STER game series director left Bandai Namco to pursue his dreams to work on this so it will be interesting to see if it was a good decision.
