The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage has just kicked off its collaboration event with Digimon, to celebrate the impending release of the Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna movie. Given the game in question, the event will see the idols performing signature songs from the Digimon series, specifically Butterfly and I wish. The selection is limited, but if you are an old person in their 30s, there is no real need for any other songs, since the two will be hard to beat.
As per Starlight Stage collaboration events, there will also be the inclusion of room items, and these come in the form of Digimon plushies and other similarly-themed trinkets. Play the game to find out what they are. To recap, 2020 marks the 20th anniversary since Digimon first leapt off the drawing board at Toei Animation and permanently embedded its lovable digital monsters into the deepest crevices of our fondest childhood memories. Now, it seems that the producers of Toei Animation are preparing to send a lot of currently working young adults on a trip down memory lane as they prepare to launch the final instalment of the Digimon Adventure films– Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna.
The film will be set further in the future from the previous instalment, with the original Digi-Destined crew in their 20s. Toei Animation has announced that this instalment will see the return of the original cast from the original anime series for one final ‘hoorah’. We realise, this has nothing to do with The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage anymore, but given the event is a tribute of sorts, we figured that we should probably do our part as well. For anything to do with the rhythm game itself, be sure to head over to the official Twitter or website for more details.
