KRAFTON unveils the official title of an Unreal Engine 4 mobile game based off the TERA IP, namely, TERA HERO. This is the new name of TERA Frontier that we had covered previously. Still developed by Red Sahara Studio, it retains most of its original plans but obviously did not keep its earlier estimated release window. It’s not the first mobile TERA game, with TERA M and TERA Origin being a couple of them.
TERA HERO supposedly takes place just before the start of the Argon War. The game is said to be in the final stages of development, with a media event slated for 17 February 2020. As TERA Frontier, the game is meant to have a global release too, but we’ll have to see if this holds under Kakao Games.
As of now, MMOCulture mentions there will be 18 classes at launch, with 12 currently revealed. TERA Frontier was meant to be a mobile MMORPG, but could the name change also mean a change of genre? We’ll have to wait to find out. Check out the visuals for the classes in the mean time!
Would you hope for it to remain an MMORPG? The term “classes” would certainly suggest that, but maybe they’ll surprise us.
