We’ve covered the announcement for the Japanese version last year. Puzzle games don’t necessarily need you to be able to understand the language, but it certainly would be an advantage! The English version keeps the match-3 gameplay where you shuffle around the faces of ONE PIECE characters to damage enemies. More pieces, more damage!

Journey through the ONE PIECE world in this blobby style instead. You’ll see the characters use their skills too to turn the tides of battle! Not just that, you’ll be able to create your own Bonbon island with various facilities you can build.

There shouldn’t be much difference if at all from the Japanese version of the game to the English one, so you can just jump right in. The game is estimated for a 2020 release. You can check out the official website to pre-register! No milestone rewards have been informed thus far, so we’ll have to check back in on those ONE PIECE Bonbon pre-registrations.

This is certainly not the ONE PIECE series’ first foray into mobile games. There’s also the upcoming PIRATE WARRIORS 4 that you can play with 3 other friends when the game launches 27 March 2020. How will you enjoy your year of ONE PIECE?
