Japan-based game developer enish has finally launched De: Lithe, its latest RPG game for Android and iOS devices. The game was originally supposed to launch in fall 2019, but its makers decided to delay the launch date after receiving the feedback accumulated from the closed beta test. As Shigeru Miyamoto once said, A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad, so props to the team for taking the time to address the problems, whatever they could have been.
De:Lithe tells a tale as old as time, in which humans are fighting against the gods. Players assume the role of being a member of the royal knights in a last stand representing mankind against omnipotent beings. Key highlights of the game include its strong single-player content and support for real-time team combat.
As the game achieved its pre-registration target of 300,000 users, all players will be showered with a bunch of rewards, gacha tickets and in-game equipment, which should grant you a good head start. The game definitely looks very polished for a mobile game, and the battle system looks to have some thought put into it to make it as engaging as possible for fans of the genre. It also has very nice aesthetics, balancing between the more traditional anime artstyle with some contemporary design choices. Of course, it does not hurt to have a large cast of familiar seiyuu as well to give it a boost. With the many games of its ilk on the market right now, any point of differentiation would go a long way for it.
