Bushiroad and Pokelabo have just opened up pre-registrations for its upcoming game Symphogear XD Unlimited that is scheduled to be launched globally in winter 2019 in English, Traditional Chinese and Korean for the Android and iOS platforms. As part of this, we are also getting a new trailer to go with it.
Symphogear XD Unlimited is dubbed as a “symphonic battle RPG” that focuses on the song and fighting elements of the series. A total of nine different characters are available to players, who will then form a team to battle against enemies while performing special moves recreated from the anime. Battle takes place in real time and requires button inputs to execute.
All special moves are animated to mimic how they do in the anime, so attentive fans will be appreciate the attention to detail, while new fans might find something here than other similar games do not already offer – hotblooded action featuring cute girls. Granted this is not an original concept, but Symphogear takes it to a whole new level.
More than 100 new pieces of art were drawn exclusively for the game, including new original gear designs. Said original design also have their own skillset. Variations of moves can then be had through the equipping of different gear. The high levels of customisation and strategy involved makes this a fairly deep title to grace the mobile platforms, despite being essentially a spin-off title.
If you like what you see, be sure to drop by the official website to sign up for all the early bird rewards. Head over to the game’s social media pages too, for new details about the game, which we reckon will be divulging a lot of details as we head closer to the launch date, whenever that may actually be, though it should be sooner than later.
