Marvel Avengers delayed and won’t be assembling till later!
Marvel’s Avengers has been delayed to September 4 2020. Developer Crystal Dynamics explains that it needs a little more time to polish the game for the “ultimate Avengers gaming experience”.
The game was previously scheduled to release on May 15 2020, but has been pushed back for “additional development time focusing on fine tuning and polishing the game to the high standards [Marvel] fans expect and deserve.”
Crystal Dynamics released an announcement regarding the delay here.
Square Enix not only delayed Marvel’s Avengers. They also announced that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake has also been pushed back by a month from its original launch date of March 3, 2020 to April 10, 2020.
What an unfortunate way to start the new year this 2020. Hopefully we won’t meet any future delays for any titles as big as this. These delays are not entirely unfounded, however, as Square Enix has a reputation to maintain and would rather release a game that is properly polished and capable of meeting the expectations of their fans.
So stay strong, believers! Square Enix have always been capable of delivering high-quality releases and this time will be no different.
