Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet
Check out the trailer for Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet. Mythic Quest is a comedy drama series about a game development studio. It’s being produced by Ubisoft Film & Television and coming to Apple TV+ on February 7. It seems that Apple is branching out into other ventures besides tech!
Mythic Quest is a fictional game within the world’s setting, which is also the most popular and successful MMO in the world. The game’s success and fame is all thanks to the creative director of Ian Grimm (played by series co-creator Rob McElhenney). Well, there’s also a whole cast of dedicated, loyal and hardworking crew who contributed to the game…buut…
They don’t matter! Or at least, that’s what Ian Grimm would have you believe. Never mind that Poppy, David, Brad, Rachel, Dana, CW, Jo and the rest of the team contributed to the game’s success. It’s alllll about Ian…or at least that’s what he he would have you believe.
The series intends to reflect and capture all the drama, stress and watermelon-exploding-action that goes on. Just regular things that happen in a game development studio, you know? Oh, and the narcissism. Lots and lots of narcissism.
Rob McElhenney and Megan Ganz are the co-creators of the show. Meanwhile, the series stars an ensemble cast that includes Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Ashly Burch, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, and Jessie Ennis.
Also, the show is executive-produced by McElhenney and Charlie Day under their RCG banner; Michael Rotenberg and Nicholas Frenkel on behalf of 3Arts; and Jason Altman, Danielle Kreinik, and Gérard Guillemot for Ubisoft Film & Television. David Hornsby (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Megan Ganz (“Modern Family,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) also executive-produce. The series is produced by the Lionsgate/3 Arts Entertainment venture and Ubisoft.
