What is Darwin Project?

Firstly, Darwin Project is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle royale game. It was developed and published by Scavengers Studio. Also, it was first launched for Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview on March 9, 2018. The official announcement was released on Dec 18, 2019.

Darwin Project takes place in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic landscape. Players are pit together in a huge arena for a crowd of spectator’s entertainment. Gameplay wise, it’s a little like Hunger Games meets Don’t Starve, where survival matters and contestants could die just from the environment.

During the earlier parts of the game, players scavenge for wood to build fires. However, fire gives off smoke, which other players could track. On top of that, players can track down hints from objects that other people have messed with recently.

Overall, we think that this is still a pretty fresh type of gameplay, despite the somewhat saturated Battle Royale genre of games. Darwin Project expects to release by January 2020. Meanwhile, you could satiate your need for action with other Battle Royale games while you wait for this tasty project to release.
