Initially teased on 9 December 2019, Death Come True is a full motion video game directed and written by Kazutaka Kodaka, best known for his Danganronpa series. The game is slated for release for iOS, Android, Switch, PS4 and PC according to the official website. Gematsu has compiled what information is currently known about the game, which you can also take a peek at on the game’s official Twitter.
The game is described as Japan’s first-ever “interactive content”, combining game and movie as teased by its introduction of “Is it a movie or a game?”. It will be paid content, price to be announced. There will be subtitles in multiple languages.

At present, 5 of the 6 teased characters have been revealed.
Kanata Hongo will be playing Makoto Karaki, the main character of Death Come True.
When Makoto Karaki wakes up in a hotel, he seemed to have lost his memory. He has no recollection of who he is or why he is in the hotel. By watching the news on TV, he learns that he is wanted for a series of murders.
As the story goes, Makoto possesses the ability to “Time Leap”, returning to the past on his death. The story will develop based on player choices with several possible endings. Through decisions and death, arrive at the truth.
Chiaki Kuriyama plays Akane Sachimura, a police investigator who is part of the Special Investigation Division. She awakes in the same room as protagonist Makoto, though first found unconscious and tied up in an empty bathtub.
Win Morisaki portrays Nozomu Kuji, also a police investigator, also a part of the Special Investigation Division. The enigmatic young man works at his own pace, an elite investigator who’s solved a number of difficult cases. He seems to be on Makoto’s trail.
Yuki Kaji is the hotel’s concierge. Calm with a never-changing expression, it would seem he knows some “secrets” of the hotel.
Nene Kurushima, depicted by Chihiro Yamamoto, is a “psychopath girl”, murder enthusiast and self-proclaimed fan of Makoto Kuraki the serial killer.
