Kick-Flight pre-registrations underway!

Kick-Flight is a new game from Grenge, with pre-registrations currently underway! This game is a 4 on 4, real-time action game, with battles occurring in the air. Tap, swipe and perform actions by interacting with your device’s screen. With animation by MAPPA and the song “FLYERS” by KANA-BOON, check out the PV below!

The game was originally set for a release within 2019, which has now since been delayed to late January 2020. The game has already achieved over 300,000 pre-registrations, since it opened around April. The figure is from Japan alone!

Not just that, Kick-Flight is also slated for a launch globally, to serve over 130 countries at the same time. Pre-registrations for players outside Japan is scheduled to begin “soon”. As this is a real-time aerial battle game, players will be matched with those closer to them so as to avoid too much lag. Presumably, this will mean the game will also be released in English.

The milestone rewards are as follows:

• 30,000: 300 JC
• 50,000: 600 JC
• 100,000: 1,000 JC
• 150,000: 1,500 JC
• 200,000: 2,000 JC
• 300,000: 3,000 JC
• 400,000: 4,000 JC

The game will be free to play, with in-app purchases, as is customary. It is a little unclear if the currency given is additive, or if the final number is the total. As it is, 300 JC is said to be equivalent to one “Jet Capsule”, containing “Discs” that are equippable by a character.

“Kicker Tickets” appear not to be able to give duplicates, so you can be assured you will always get a new character! Players will lock-on to their opponents when in battle. Special skills are also usable! Dash around in the air as you avoid your opponents’ attacks. You can check the gameplay preview below.

Perhaps it’s surprising to see a game not yet available in Japan to be also readily available worldwide. Whenever pre-registrations go up, why don’t you jump on the Kick-Flight current?
