More of Granblue Fantasy: Relink was seen at the recently concluded Granblue Fantasy Fes 2019, with a new PV and gameplay footage! First, check out the trailer below.
Character controls, along with Relink art for the four Dragon Knights – Lancelot, Percival, Vane, Siegfried – were shown off.
You can communicate with other players with voice lines – said in the character’s voice – as well as Stickers that you can find in the original Granblue Fantasy game.
From the gameplay preview, accepting a quest takes you to the quest area right away. Party members will be able to banter and comment on the environment. You can perform combos, which seems to increase “Link Level” for boosts. When unleashing a charge attack, other players can join in during the Chain Chance, up to a maximum of 4 for a Full Burst. If we take into consideration the base mobile game, where there are characters that have a maximum of 200% charge bar, it would be interesting to see Overchain in Relink.
In the demo build, we can also see what appears to be consumables on the left of the screen. Granblue players would likely recognize them from the mobile game as healing pots, and revive pot (the yellow one).
You can find lootable items along the way. Status effects are in, as we can see an enemy wyvern being frozen. When fighting the Ancient Dragon, the boss for this preview, it looks like it may have separate health bars for different parts. From the mobile game, there are bosses with multiple targets. We’ll see what this means for Relink. Bosses are capable of area of effect attacks, which you can dodge out of from the circles on the ground. At the end of it, all chests are lootable by all players.
At the end of the demo build, we get a glimpse into something ominous. Who could that be…?

How did you find the Granblue Fantasy: Relink preview from Granblue Fantasy Fes 2019? We don’t have a release date for the game yet, but we are told this build was made over the past year at Cygames Osaka. We’ll look forward for a proper release date once the game is ready!
