Marvelous Europe has announced the remaster of action RPG Ys: Memories of Celceta will be out on PS4 for Europe and Australia. Digital and physical editions will be available during 2020.
The game is part of developer Nihon Falcom’s long-running Ys series, and was originally released for Playstation Vita. The Playstation 4 remaster will support 60FPS with full HD graphics and optimized controls so as to reproduce the touch screen functions of the PS Vita version. The PS4 version will also support dual audio, so players can play it with either English voices or the original Japanese. This feature will be released as a free patch to the existing PC release in the future.
Ys: Memories of Celceta physical edition for PS4 will be available at selective retailers in Europe and Australia. The digital edition will be available to purchase from the Playstation Store at launch. Pre-order and pricing availability for both editions are to be confirmed closer to release.
The Japanese cut classic of Ys IV will be available on the PS4 for the first time in Ys: Memories of Celceta. Experience and explore one of the most expansive locales in the series with a robust and detailed mapping system that includes customizable waypoints to keep adventurers from getting lost while they discover secrets hidden in the wilderness.
The established multi-character party system with real-time combat first introduced in Ys SEVEN will return in Ys: Memories of Celceta. Enjoy fast-paced yet strategic action with meaningful player choice. Look forward to seeing the Memories of Celceta remaster on the PS4!
