Just about a year later, Wild Arms: Million Memories ends service, as mentioned in the tweet below. Service will officially end 27 February 2020, at 4:00PM JST. More in-game announcements will be made regarding what’s next for the game.
Million Memories is the 8th entry in the Wild Arms series for smartphones. It had a brand new story supervised by series creator Akifumo Kaneko, music composed by series veteran Michiko Naruke. It was the first game in the series since Wild Arms XF‘s release in 2007.
It featured the regular mobile game trappings with its quests and gacha. ARMS and equipment were obtainable from the gacha, with differing offerings according to season. Gameplay was a mix of real-time combat and story segments, unlike the turn-based combat of the previous games. Characters used ARMS to obtain special abilities of magic. Using the Force gauge of a character unleashed their hidden potential.
For fans who were hoping for a revival of the series after 11 years, this news is an unfortunate one. Who knows if someday, there would be a full console release instead? You can still check out the game’s official website. Maybe you can just try out Million Memories before it ends service for good.
