Fantasy Earth Genesis has been a news that we heard recently and pretty quickly we got the game for the Japan version so soon. The game a 50 vs 50 concept that allows you to choose your class from a list of
- Warrior
- Hunter
- Assassin
- Soldier
- Striker
Although you were given a class to choose, you are still available to change your class here.
The class are interesting, but for the range classes, aiming without assistance is quite challenging.
GAMEPLAY
The game is more of a MMORPG Guild/Clan War concept where players gather together in a map to complete a certain objective.
In this game, you will be controlling a character that you can customize at the start of the game. After customizing the character, you can select your class and faction. Each faction will have a color that represents their identity. After that you will be sent to a city where then you are set on your own.
In the city you can do stuff like enhance equipment, combine equipment and many more.
The main gameplay works like this.
- You select your loadout and class and go to the map
- Then you can choose the spots on the map that is not your faction’s color and announce a battle with the other faction for their spot.
- Within the battle, you will be task to farm crystals to build a cannon to shoot your opponent’s base. Within this process, you can also interrupt your opponents by killing them or destroying their cannons.
- The base that falls first would lose the fight.
After each round, you win or lose you will be given an amount of rewards that consist mostly raw materials. These materials are needed later for different enhancing and everything. Other than that there’s a PvP colosseum which I’m very afraid to go in.
The visual wise, i would say its pretty low quality for Square Enix. The game feels like its from an old PC game. The visual effects are decently made, but not outstanding. I was hoping a little bit more on the visual side, but given it is to compromise a strategic play of 100 total characters, I guess it’s a fair cut.
Gacha on the other hands are very fun, there’s a cat bonking the box until there’s a 3 star item, making it quite cute to see the box and the cat dancing. Even though it’s like a day one thing, there’s like 4 to 5 different gacha banners, a bit overwhelming for a day one push isn’t it?
The game is quite interesting for it’s concept, but needs to have a proper communication software to compensate it. If given, the game might have a huge leap. The followings are my first impression of the game, I might not have been very deep into the game, but there wasn’t much of a hook for me to stay motivated to play the game. If the global version is out, maybe the game could had been another interesting as I can understand more.
