Flower Gaming is champion of the Predator League Malaysia 2020 Finals. The win means they will be representing Malaysia at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 in the Philippines. That’s 18 – 22 February, giving them a few more months to prepare. Here’s a short interview with them.
The squad is comprised of LaNcE, MozuN, Barry, Candyloon and ddz. Respectively, they play carry, two supports, offlane and mid. They’re naturally happy and excited about their victory, calling Dota Heroes and their finals opponent CDEC.Avengers top challengers within the league. There’s also satisfaction, for a game well won, one can say. Dota Heroes would be one of the teams Flower Gaming would see quite often, especially for the ESL MYSG League.
They’ve known each other for at least 3 to 4 years now, and the team itself is about 1 to 2 years, which could be considered quite long in esports circles. They’re “technically” just friends playing Dota 2. MozuN is named as captain. While they do have their roles, how they do them isn’t particularly complicated: they work on keeping their lanes, especially for mid, and so long they perform their part well, it isn’t too difficult. Likewise, “Flower Gaming” as an entity isn’t strictly under an organization. They’re just friends, and they enjoy playing together.
CDEC.Avengers is pegged as their biggest rival, featuring skilled and experienced players. They have them as the biggest opponent in the tournament too, which explains that satisfaction they got from defeating a team they hold in such high regard. Barry mentions he plays CS:GO in regards to playing other games, but for the most part, they just play Dota 2. They did all start playing 5 to 6 years ago, and were already together by then.
Family support doesn’t seem quite there, but they’re carrying themselves on their passion for the game. Flower Gaming will be looking to modestly have a few drinks and such with their winnings. After that, they’re just going to keep playing until the main event in Manila.
They thank the fans who support them, and promise to play better. Do your best, Flower Gaming!
