Predator League 2020 Malaysia DOTA 2 Tournament is DONE, and we have our 2nd Runner up, CDEC.Avenger! They had went through ups and down to make it this far. We are lucky to have the chance to have a small talk with them to talk about their journey and stuff.
The squad is made up with the following members.
- Darly
- Gy
- Ahjit
- Brayant
- Yameteh
They had known each other for quite some time but the team started with only Darly, Gy and Brayant. They found Ahjit and Yameteh best to fit in the slots that they are lacking as they are the ones that synergies the best with them.
Everyone has their own favorite hero in DOTA 2, they all told us their own personal favorites. Yameteh likes Alchemist because he is a bug hero. (LOL) Ahjit likes to play Ember because it is fun to him. Brayant likes to play Earthshaker as it has more mechanics that is fun for him to play around. Gy likes Timbersaw because he can make some havoc with the tools of nature’s destruction! Darly likes Orge Magi just simple because he can boost Gy up and let him do his things.
With them dropping in the Grand Finals, they mentioned that Dota Hero was another strong contenders as they had been together at least 2 years and their synergy are much better.
Putting aside DOTA 2, the team also enjoyed playing Counter Strike: Global Offense. They joke around if DOTA 2 really doesn’t work, they might go and be a future CSGO player!
Not everyone started DOTA 2 in early access, the team averagely started since The International 2 and only Darly started since the beta stage of DOTA 2. Coming into parental problems, some of them got good and supportive parents that provides them the positively on their DOTA 2 career, but Brayant and Ahjit wasn’t the same. Their parents didn’t like the idea of it until they started getting money out of tournaments and contracts.
Runner up also includes a chunk of money (RM10,000) prize for the team. We wondered if they would use it for facilities or buying some stuff to enjoy. The team averagely will be using the money for better food as well as have more gatherings with the team.
In the end, they thanked their fans for all their continuous support for them on their journey, they had come to the tournament and tried their best to be the top team. The team also enjoyed the tournament and hope that the fans who came enjoyed it as much as they did.
