It wasn’t too long ago that we reported on the Monster Rancher franchise about to make its return on the mobile platform.
To recap, the port will have all the contents from the original PlayStation game including breeding and battling monsters. Instead of using CDs like the Playstation game, there will be PVP and you will be able to select names and artists from a database online to generate monsters. In the original game, it used to be CD playback to generate monsters.
If you are interested Monster Rancher will be available in App Store, Google Play and Nintendo Switch. You can pre-register for the game in iOS and Android. The Switch version will be available 19 December 2019. There is no announcement on the localisation yet. However, you can buy the game in Japan for all the platforms for 1,900 yen. Yes, that’s right, this is a full fledged game and not some soulless mobile spinoff that has been plaguing the market, but we digress.
Regardless it is definitely a nice thing to see Monster Rancher make its return in some form or another, although this is possibly the best outcome as well. Meanwhile you are at it, pop by to their official website as well!
