Netmarble will be working on a Ni no Kuni smartphone game! According to the announcement, the game will be showcased at G-Star 2019, Busan, South Korea. The event will run from 14 – 17 November. It would seem the game is will be using an “anime-esque” style. A social system based around “Kingdoms” is teased, where you can grow your guild by cooperating and competing with other players. Spirits called “Imazen” will be available to collect to train, too.
Would you hope for it to be a premium game, a la Apple Arcade? It’s likely it would be a free-to-play title with in-game transactions via gacha, with how common it is. Hopefully at G-Star, we can learn more if it’ll have any connection to the console games, or a standalone original story.
