A popular MMORPG in PC that has been ported to the mobile platform since last year in Korea and a few other countries has started their services in selected countries! The game features amazing details in all aspect of combat, story and graphics. The game received a lot of positive review for its other version, so how will it be in the soft launch version? We covered their soft launch before and we had our take on the game (soft-launch is currently only available in seven different countries: Canada, Chile, Sweden, Malaysia, Turkey, Ireland and Australia)! Let’s talk about it!
Before that, let’s have a look on their gameplay trailer.
Not a much different game from the PC, Pearl Abyss brought most of the positive elements of the game to the mobile. Comparing the released version, we only have a 5 classes to pick from,
- Warrior
- Ranger
- Giant
- Witch
- Valkyrie
In this game, the roles are not as important as the other MMORPG. The game test the survivalibility of how well you maneuver your character and utilize the frames. Each classes excels differently. Personally if I would rank the classes, it would be like this.
- Witch
- Giant
- Ranger
- Warrior
- Valkyrie
The reason why Witch can be on top of the list is because of the high damage output and the overall maneuver of the character. Giant is next is because the crowd control skills that he possesses. Ranger is a decent class for an average player, but if you are very good in controlling the characters and the skill rotations, it can be a close match to Witch. Warriors are a standard class to play with a balanced skillset. Valkyrie felt a bit underwhelming as she is more of a jack of all traits but master of none.
There are a lot of contents for you to enjoy about the game. Here’s what you can do within the game.
- Building your own camp
- Guild System
- World Boss
- Boss Rush
- Marketplace
- Player character customization
- Versatile combat system and customization

- The Black Spirit*
- Black Spirit Mode
- and many more that we wish to see coming…
The special element that differs this game to the other MMOs in the market is the special Black Spirit. It is a constant NPC that bugs you while giving you a lot of benefits if you carefully feed him up.
From our gameplay experience since yesterday, the game has been an excellent for its visual effects and the character skillset distribution. The system for combat in my personal opinion was not the best. The auto lock target can sometimes mess you up. When you are in combat, you can use up to 8 skills, 4 on each page. This is the most comfortable way of having a skill wheel I had ever experience on a mobile game.
The travelling journey from place to place is not too long and there’s also an auto system to help you to farm or travel.
Overall, the game is pretty fun on a soft Launch. Decent graphics and mechanisms.
Other than the positive stuff, I had also encountered a number of problems.
- The game constantly crashes
- It won’t allow me to set my graphics to the highest
The first one is majorly annoying me until I have to use another phone to play the game. The game on my Samsung Galaxy S8+ has been crashing every 3-10 minutes. The graphics are locked to high and not max.
So, what do you think about the game? Or are you still waiting for the release for iOS? Let us know down in the comments and we shall discuss it together!
