PlayStation Award 2019 Announcements!!!

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will be holding the ‘Playstation Awards 2019(PS Awards)’ on 3rd December 2019 (Tuesday) to announce and recognize the hit titles on the PlayStation Format over the past year in the Japan and Asia region. This marks the 25th Awards and the 25th Anniversary of PlayStation.

Upon reaching this milestone, PlayStation will be inviting John Kabira-san and Hatsune Matsushima-san to present and announce the awards for the rich variety of hit titles that has surfaced the market this year.

They will be awarding a ‘Gold Prize’ to the titles who achieved 500,000 or more total sales and downloads and a ‘Platinum Prize’ for those which achieved over 1 million in the Japan and Asia region.

Other than that they will also be presenting the ‘PlayStation Network Award’ to the top 3 titles with network sales in the Asia and Japan region, and for PlayStation VR (PS VR) Titles will be having the ‘PS VR Award’ to those titles which contributed most to sales and creating excitement on the format. An ‘Indie & Developer Award’ to the 3 titles with the most contributed to creating the variety on PlayStation. Finally, with the 25th year anniversary, they will be awarding the ‘PlayStation 25th Anniversary Users’ Choice Award’ to the top 5 titles voted on by users out of those who have won in the PS Awards over the last 24 years.

Voting for the ‘PlayStation 25th Anniversary User Choice Award’ will be starting from today until the 24th of October JST. They will also be giving away one PS4 Pro (Jet Black, 1TB) to one user who leaves the best comment with their vote for the ‘PlayStation 25th Anniversary Users’ Choice Award’ this year.

The event will be live-streamed on the PS Awards 2019 Official Site (via YouTube Live).
