It has been almost a year since the launch of the Asus ROG Phone, and we are sure that it blew a lot of our minds away! The screen, the specs, and the performance truly brings the adrenaline out of the gamer.
Since IFA 2019, we are expecting Asus to push the boundary of gaming towards a PREMIUM GAMING PHONE.
We did a rough introduction on the Asus ROG Phone II last time, check it out here!
As of today, these are the specifications that we can confirm.
Processor : Snapdragon 855+
GPU : Adreno 640
Display : 6.59 AMOLED FHD+
Refresh Rate : 120 Hz/1ms, 240Hz touch response rate
Resolution : 1080p
Comparing back on what we heard it last from the China website, it was pretty accurate. I’ll be personally looking forward towards owning one with my savings!
GAMECOOL II
Meanwhile GameCool II is reinvented from the old the feature vents on the back cover and a heat sink & underfill system to push the cooling efficiency to another level. Separating the 3 levels of cooling with their in the box accessory, this will increase the rate of heat released from the heat sink flowing out directly faster towards the vents. This really push their product as last time when I was trying the phone on the go, it got quite heated without the help of the accessory.
AirTrigger II
Since the review for the ancestor model, Asus improved the AirTrigger to add in 2 more functions to make it AirTrigger II. The features added to their phone is the new dual vibration feature and sliding gesture for games. Although some games might not require these settings, but it is efficient towards uncountable situations when you’re not gaming comfortably. Furthermore, the new AirTrigger II allows the user to rest their fingers on the edge, so it will only register triggers that initiate towards the AirTrigger II position.
These features really brings my gaming experience towards another level compared to my current Samsung S8+. I personally like the screen size and the comfort of holding the device, as it is very ergonomic. The sharpness that is on the device also won’t hurt even with a long period of gaming, furthermore 240Hz MAN! The overall built quality is pretty awesome, not too heavy or overly large!
