KLab Inc. has just announced that it will be working on a new game based on the venerated Captain Tsubasa franchise.
For the uninitiated, Captain Tsubasa is a sports manga from Yoichi Takahashi on the sport of football. Ever since it made its debut on the Weekly Shonen Jump in 1981, the series went on to become one of the most popular manga of all time, inspiring footballers for generations to come.
Back to the game itself, it will feature storylines and plot from Captain Tsubasa, which should be a treat for fans. Scheduled for release in Japan in 2017, KLab is actually playing the game to the international audience as well.
You guys is as good as ours when it comes to what the game entails. Chances are it will be a sports RPG similar to Captain Tsubasa games developed in the past, with heavy emphasis on team management much like that seen in actual football management simulators, albeit simplified.
