GigaBash has more gameplay to show apart from short Twitter clips at TGS 2019! This arena brawler will see kaiju and heroes alike battle it out in various exotic locations around the world. The game is currently estimated for a Q4 2020 release.
Up to 4 players can fight in local play! Control giants inspired by classic monster films to wreck mayhem in fully destructible arenas. Humans thought these monsters gone, eradicated by heroes, but they reawaken thanks to a mysterious force! What are their origins? Or are you just here to smash things to pieces?
Key features include:
- Becoming S-Class: Gain Giga Points as you fight. Get enough and evolve into a towering S-Class monster!
- Destroy everything, use anything: The arena is your playground. Toss buildings into or at other monsters!
- Couch play: Gather 3 other friends to battle it out on a single screen with all the banter that ensues
We can see how you can walk on buildings, and possibly reflect projectiles. There’s special abilities too! Even when your kaiju is defeated, you can also fire a beam. This is only pre-alpha so there’s plenty we don’t know yet, but it looks like great fun already! Curiously enough, the Borneo map was previously meant to be a Malaysia map. We’ll look forward to seeing what that map actually turns out to be!
If you’ve noticed, each player has a bar. This bar shows how much Giga Points you have. Get Giga Points from attacking others and destroying buildings. Unleash that power to grow in size, and you’ll be invincible to anything smaller than you! It does mean that those who dare try fighting you will get double Giga Points, so watch out!
