A big update will be coming to the Star Wars Battlefront II. We have interview with Dannis Brenvall, the Franchise Design Director for Star Wars Battlefront II. We asked him questions that was always been around by the community for Star Wars Battlefront II.
As you all know, Star Wars Battlefront II releasing new skins or as they call it “appearance” is pretty meh and slow. In the game, Luke Skywalker has only ONE skin which is Hoth skin aside from his original skin, the Jedi skin. We asked Dannis Brenvall on this matter of slow appearance update into the game. With the new characters, new environment and new planet, it’s hard for the developers to balance with all kind of stuff. The developers know that the players likes appearances but they know that the players would also love having new characters into the game so they prioritize that more into the game.
Speaking of characters, Star Wars Battlefront II is lacking of female heroes inside the game. There are a lot of awesome female heroes in the Star Wars universe such as Ahsoka, Leia and Ventruss. Padme is also one of the iconic faces of Star Wars but we still don’t see her appearance yet in the game. The developers understands that the community wants more female heroes. Back then, there is a lack of lightsaber heroes in the game but now with a lot of lightsaber heroes in the game, who knows what future might hold for Padme or any of the female heroes show up into the game. At least, Clone Commando will do. For now.
What’s coming to Star Wars Battlefront 2019 is there will be 2 PVE modes will be coming soon. The co-op mode will have 4 players team up in a large scale PVE adventure. You can choose to play as either the Galactic Republic or the Separatist Alliance and immerse yourself in a very authenthic battle scenario that’s true to the lore. They do give you a narrative reason of what’s happening but they also let you choose how to do your battle.
Beside the co-op mode, Instant Action mode is a massive scale mode that is enjoyable for singleplayer enviorment. In this mode it is pretty similar to Capital Supremacy where both sides have to fight over 5 command post till your team score reaches 100% to win the game. You will fight alongside with AIs and against well AIs. You can choose to be in the light side of the force or the dark side. What’s even better it is that this game mode can also be played in offline!
The AI in the Instant Action mode will be made up of regular troops , reinforcements, heroes and vehicles. Wait, heroes?! What heroes will be in the Instant Action mode, you may ask? It’s starts with the prequel Clone Wars heroes. Which is you may known as there will be Anakin, Obiwan, Yoda, Grievous, Darth Mall and Count Dooku. There might also a chance that it will expand more from there as the developers want to make it possible for anything. Dannis Brenvall said this would be a challenged to make these AIs to play in a manner that is correct to their characters. Making these AI’s utilize and use their abilities in the right way. If they pull this off, this would a great mode for all the Star Wars fans that loves to play in a singleplayer mode.
Both of the PVE will be available on last week of September so look forward to that. With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be premiere near Christmas, Star Wars Battlefront II celebrate the movie with having Rise of the Skywalker content into the game! Watch the movie and experience it again in Star Wars Battlefront II.
