Monkey King: Hero is Back – Journeying to PS4 17 October 2019

Sony Interactive Entertainment Singapore announced the release of Monkey King: Hero is Back for 17 October 2019. Suggested retail prices are MYR169 for Blu-Ray Disc Standard Edition and Standard Digital Edition, MYR209 for Digital Deluxe Edition and MYR279 for Digital Ultimate Edition.

Monkey King: Hero is Back is a full-scale fantasy action movie featuring Jiang Liuer, a boy, who goes on a journey to find the Monkey King, Sun Wukong, who was released after 500 years. The domestic-China produced movie became a hit and earned around 956 million RMB (~20 billion JPY) at the box office, the most earned by an animated movie at the time.

October Media, the producer of the movie, and Sony Interactive Entertainment are developing the game collaboratively. The movie’s themes are in the game. Follow along Jiang Liuer, the Monkey King and Zhu Bajie on their travels. Work together, fight enemies, deepen friendships.

You play as the Monkey King. Your superhuman strength and abilities will be needed to defeat all kinds of enemies! Experience new stories not seen in the movie to feel an even deeper bond between the Monkey King, Jiang Liuer and Zhu Bajie.
