We had the opportunity to have a few minutes with Alan Walker at his appearance in Berlin at the PMCO Spring Split Grand Finals 2019!
We asked him about his interest in games. He talked about how he grew up around gaming, and mentioned Diablo as an example, considering himself both a gamer, and a musician. Regarding game soundtracks he likes, he said Tetris is very memorable, causing laughter. For a more serious answer, he offered Halo and Call of Duty.
About PUBG, Alan answered he plays PUBG more casually than competitively, while also mentioning an occasion in New York being the closest to actually being competitive. On favourite maps, he simply said he mostly plays on the standard, original map. Incidentally, he has gotten chicken dinners before, so congratulations, Alan!
Moving on to music and gaming, we brought up how they can bring people together. He recalled the time his track “Fade” became really big. Alan said he hadn’t imagined his music could have had such a big effect on people, and agreed that it was like a universal language able to connect people wherever they are.
To cap off, we asked him about having his skins in-game. He finds it cool to see how the Alan Walker logo and music interacts and integrates with the game. PUBG Mobile has had Alan Walker skins before, so maybe we’ll be seeing more of that soon.
The PMCO is live this weekend. Catch your favourite teams battle it out over a USD$400,000 prize pool! Don’t forget to join in the summer events as well!
