Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the spiritual successor to Castlevania by Koji Igarashi or most known as Iga. The Castlevania-esque side-scroller action RPG will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on June 18 while Nintendo Switch will be on June 25.
The “Igavania” started out as a kickstarter project and was once the most-funded game in Kickstarter history raising over $5 million. It was originally set to released in 2017 but delayed until 2019 due to some development issues. Well, one of the issues was the game receiving critics from Kickstarter backer and fans.
From the announcement trailer above, the early version of the game is shown highlighting the critics received over the visuals and how Koji Igarashi is going to prove them wrong with all the new improvement in gameplay visuals and improved graphics.
It’s rare to see games developer that really takes criticism to heart and make a change for it. So, Kudos to Iga for pouring his heart into improving the game and not leaving fans in disappointment.
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will be set in the 18th-Century where players will take on the role as Miriam, an orphan that’s cursed by an alchemist. Battle your way through hordes of demons and defeat its master to save yourself, and all of humanity!
The game will be out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC next month on June 18 while Nintendo Switch will be on June 25.
