After revealing it on Twitter and announcing it almost two months ago, Square Enix has finally launched Last Idea and the game is now available as a free-to-play on Japan’s App Store and Google Play.

In this treasure hunting RPG, you as a rookie treasure hunter will go on an island called “The Castle of Silence” and bump into Lucrecia, a young amnesiac girl who has lost all her memories after you save her from monsters lurking on the island. You and she will team up together and get to meet more characters along the way.
Character designs are done by Kaou while Kageyama Shota’s behind the music that features orchestra. A crowded cast list includes Aya Suzaki, Ai Kakuma and many more while animation production is executed by Studio A-CAT.
Co-op multiplayer in Last Idea can fit up to a total of four players in a single party at the same time for treasure hunting sessions as enemies await in your path to prosperity. Find treasures that can either be sold or used to strengthen your party. Furthermore, there will be no gacha as the game focuses on auctions where all forms of businesses are done.
Last Idea features a “Smart Command” combat system that allows players to freely zoom in and out of combat while making it easy for them to control characters through taps and swipes.
As far as we’re aware, more than 600 different types of equipments are currently available in the game. Depending on how your character is built around the IDEA system, it is essential to know which equipments are best suited for your character and that’s where the customizations comes in.
