Zombie, is without a doubt a popular genre for both films and games. When it comes to the classics, there’s Resident Evil, Zombieland, Left4Dead, Killing Floor and the list goes on.
Then there’s World War Z, a popular paramount film in which their zombies will definitely send chills down your spine and it will be getting its own video-game tomorrow!
The game will not have Brad Pitt in it but it does have some serious gameplay. Like other zombie games, players will have to survive over hordes of zombies with limited resources at their disposal.
However, everything in World War Z is much more intense because masses of dead will keep coming your way. By masses, I mean zombies so many that can form into mountains that you see in the movie!
Besides that, the game’s AI director will be adapting to players progression and set the difficulties based off their performances. So, having it too easy at the get go might be bad because the game will send hordes of zombies after players. Well, when there’s too much to handle, players can always depend on the auto turret or mortar but not all the time.
To make the game even more difficult than it already is, there are Special Zombies installed through the levels. For instance, an armor zombie that’s capable of knocking you over, Gasbags that cloud the surrounding with toxic gases and more.
Speaking of special, players too have special perks that will be rewarded upon chapter completion. The perks will vary depending on the class chosen and there are also points towards upgrades for each weapon.
In short, World War Z is somewhat similar to Left 4 Dead but much more difficult and intense. To back this up, let’s have a look at a 20 minute gameplay by GamersPrey.
From the footage, we can see that the game also supports a singer-player mode with bots backing up the players.
Then, there are already zombies swarming in at the beginning with zombies climbing up on each others back. What a sight to see! Aside from that, it seems pretty easy to take down a zombie but the game compensate the difficulty with numbers.
Still, it’s unbelievable that the game can replicate something straight out a movie. What are your thoughts? Let us know down the comments!
World War Z will be coming out tomorrow on platforms such as PS4, PC and Xbox One for $39.99 (approximately RM165) but the PC version will be an exclusive game on EPIC GAME STORE for $27.99 (approximately RM115).
