The Division 2 is the latest looter shooter in the market at the moment and there is an abundance of things to do and make note of. To make it less overwhelming for the beginners out there, here some The Division 2 beginner tips and tricks.
Take Me Home
It is one thing to take over controls points in The Division 2, but remember to always return to them every once in a while. When you first capture Control Points, you will have access to the supply room, and these contain extremely good loot. What most don’t realise is the fact that the loot does in fact repopulate over time. Control Points are also important as they serve as checkpoints of sorts, allowing you to them, subsequently reducing travel time.
Hurt Me More
Every enemy has a weak point, and when engaging Veteran (Purple) and Elite (Gold) bosses, it becomes important to take note of where it is. Exploiting these points allow you to make short work of difficult enemies that would otherwise take a lot of firepowers to take down. For example, when facing armoured enemies with large weapons, their weak point tends to be the weapon itself. Break these weapons and the boss will spend the time trying to fix it, giving you time to take free shots at them.
Look Around
The developer took the trouble to model Washington D.C to the best of their ability, and there is much to see. Take some time off from doing missions and simply explore the world map. More often than not you will find rare loot spread out across the world, granting you an easy advantage. If you are feeling brave, you can also ways drop by the Darkzone for a chance to get even better gear. Be warned however, as Darkzone also doubles PVP zones, so you will be facing both player and AI enemies here.
Side Step
While it seems tempting to just blast through the story mode to open up the game as quickly as possible, be sure to veer off the beaten track to take on side activities. Not only does provide some form of variety, but it is also the best means of levelling up. Rewards of these side activities can more often than not be better than what is offered by the main campaign, so be sure to engage in it.
More The Merrier
It is definitely possible to play the entire game solo, but The Division 2 is designed pretty much around cooperative play. As enemies get tougher as you progress, you will always want someone to watch your six. Enemies in the game are smart enough to flank your position, so being a lone wolf will often time be much more dangerous than it is worth. It is easy to party up with friends, and so is calling for help from strangers. Simply head to a safe house to matchmake or while on a mission, call for backup.
