Having a blast dying in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice on your PC? You might want to back up your save data because there’s a risk of your data getting corrupted. There are some netizens experiencing crashes, blue screens of death, or forced quits that leads to data corruption. Better save it now than regret it later!
Here’s a solution by a Reddit User to backup your save files:
Go to C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\Sekiro
Before doing all that, you’ll have to had your files un-hidden from you first. To show your hidden files, all you have to do is search for “Show hidden files and folders” then tick “Show hidden files, folders, and drivers” and apply your changes. With all that, you’re good to go. All you have to do left is just to copy your Sekiro save file to the destination of your choice.
To minimize the risk of getting corrupted files, make sure you quit the game in a proper way. For instance, rest by the Sculptor’s Idol to save your progress, then quit to the title menu and only then you quit to the desktop. Although it all seems like a bother, is all for your own good. To back this up, I quit the game in this fashion manner and so far I have not encounter this kind of problem.
