As we last reported, Blizzard Entertainment’s Hearthstone is getting the next expansion, Rise of Shadows on 9 April. It is also the first expansion in the game’s Year of the Dragon rotation. Here we have the info of two new cards for the expansion – Bronze Herald and Dragon Speaker.
Here is a video introducing the new cards:
Bronze Herald
Card Stats / Ability: 3 Mana Cost, 3 Attack and 2 Health / Deathrattle: Add two 4/4 Dragons to your hand (when it dies)
Bronze Herald is a strong Paladin card that allows you to get turn 3 and turn 4 play in one single card. Since the card itself is a dragon, it could trigger other cards with “If you’re holding a Dragon” effect such as FireTree Witchdoctor and Scaleworm. It can also refill your hand with more Dragons to trigger the “holding a Dragon” synergy. This card would possibly become the core in Dragon Paladin Deck!
Dragon Speaker
Card Stats / Ability: 5 Mana Cost, 3 Attack and 5 Health / Battlecry – Give all Dragons in your hand +3/+3 (when you play it from your hand)
Dragon Speaker is also a powerful Paladin card. With the ability to give +3/+3 buffs to all Dragons (as long as they are in your hands), this card synergises very well with Bronze Herald. It also works well with Dragons such as Faerie Dragon and Ebon Dragonsmith.
We can expect more cards that have a good synergy with Bronze Herald and Dragon Speaker to be revealed for the Rise of Shadows expansion. The expansion will arrive in Hearthstone on 9 April, so stay tuned!
