Fake Apex Legends Mobile: A Malware In Disguise

With the recent hit battle royale game, Apex Legends, still conquering the hearts and minds of gamer. Fans are demanding for a mobile release of the game like the other two titles, PUBG and Fortnite. However, there is still no news on the mobile release yet and players should take caution. Because there is now a malware with the name Apex Legends on the internet.

All you got to do is search for Apex Legends APK and it will show up, do take note that it is not the official mobile game. It comes in a form of APK files (package format for Android apps) supposedly containing an installer for the game. Moreover, the file name is rather convincing. (Apex Legends 1.0.3 APK)

There are even videos on the so called Apex Legends Mobile which you can find it on YouTube. If you try to install the game, you might risk getting the FakeFort Trojan that will try to download unnecessary apps on to your phone.

So, with all that said. Players should keep an eye out for news regarding the official release. Even if the title does look tempting, you should avoid downloading it to prevent potential harm on to your phone.
