Today is Pokemon Day and also the 23rd anniversary of our beloved Pokemon series. The official Twitter account has also announced of a new Pokemon Direct to be taking place today at 6am PST. With that said, we can all hope for Nintendo to have a lot in plan as part of their annual celebrations for the franchise.

Aside from that, there are speculations that a new 8th Gen Pokemon Switch game is coming out. The speculation started from a tweet by Game Freak director Junichi Masuda.
