Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia has come a long way since last year in November. Square Enix announced last year that the game will be delayed to early 2017 and will release news of the game in January. Recently, Square Enix has provided some new updates to Famitsu.
It was mentioned that Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia is already at 99% completion but did not mention what the 1% was. Square isn’t releasing much info about the game which they plan to only release them when the game is released later in Japan. The game is said to be similar to the arcade version which Koei Tecmo is helping out in its development.

Square Enix apologized for the delay of the game and thank for all the support of all dedicated fans. The game which features over 20 characters from the Final Fantasy series will also come with their own voices! So we will expect famous like Warrior of the Light, Zidane and the rest of the old Final Fantasy characters to have an in-game voice.
As you advance in the game, you will be able to recruit the characters instead of using a gacha system. Then players will be able to create a dream party with the Final Fantasy main characters. The game uses “Brave Attacks” and “HP Attacks” from Dissidia Final Fantasy which has a limit to Brave so that the battles will be smooth and at a comfortable pace.
Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia will be released in Japan early 2017 for both iOS and Android. However there were no release dates mentioned yet. So stay tuned!
