Apex Legends might be getting a mobile version soon

After surpassing 10 million players in the space of just a week after its initial release, Apex Legends might soon get a mobile version. A battle royale game that is free-to-play on PC, PS4 and XBox One, no wonder it gained popularity so quickly. Now, EA is planning for the Titanfall-themed game by Respawn Entertainment to go mobile.

Apex Legends adds a new twist to the popular battle royale genre by introducing heroes. Heroes with different abilities that you can exploit on a map called Kings Canyon. Set in the same world as Titanfall, Kings Canyon is a futuristic map. If you are familiar with Titanfall, good for you because you will get used to everything in no time. Also, more maps will be arriving in future updates.

There are currently eight existing characters in the game but only six will be available to you at the start. You will have to either use in-game credits or real cash to purchase the other two. Although the number of heroes is limited for now, more will certainly arrive in future updates.

Like other battle royale games such as PUBG and Fortnite, you will first drop from the sky with two other teammates. Work together with them to secure limited weapons, ammo and other stuffs to give yourselves an edge over the other 19 squads.

One of the more interesting features of the game is the capability to revive your dead teammates. However, to do so, you will have to take their banner from their loot first. Then, proceed to a respawn point to get the number of your squad members back to square one.

We do think that Apex Legends has the potential to surpass its competitors in this tight battle between battle royale games. PUBG and Fortnite have already gone on to have their own mobile versions so it is no surprise that Apex Legends will soon be following suit as well. Ambitious from EA but interesting times ahead, definitely.
