HONOR View20 is launching in Malaysia from January 26 at RM1,999 or RM2,499

During the HONOR View20 launch event at Paris earlier, HONOR has officially announced the launch date and price for their first flagship smartphone in 2019. Starting from January 26, HONOR View20 will be available for Malaysia in 2 variant – RM1,999 (6+128GB) in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue, or RM2,499 (8+256GB) in Phantom Blue co-designed with Moschino.

As a refresher, HONOR View20 is the successor to the HONOR View 10. It is the world’s first smartphone to feature the HD 48MP rear 3D TOF camera along with an in-screen front camera. On its 6.3-inch display, a small hole (only 4.5mm in diameter) is located at the top left corner to house the 25MP front-facing camera. This offers a notch-less viewing experience with an impressive 91.8% body-to-screen ratio.

The device features the AI dual-lens camera too. The 48MP main rear camera is powered by the Sony IMX586 stacked CMOS image sensor, while the 3D camera has a range imaging camera system. You will be able to shoot top-quality images easily, or scan an object and see it come to life thanks to the TOF sensor. You can even play 3D motion games such as Fancy Skiing and Fancy Darts on it!

Of course, HONOR View20 comes with powerful specifications as well. Powered by the latest Kirin 980 with dual NPU, the device features the Liquid Cooling System and the GPU Turbo 2.0 for better gaming performance. Gaming on it is seamlessly according to our hands-on experience, the 4,000mAh battery could provide many hours of entertainment for sure.

HONOR is also collaborating with Epic Games this time – those who own the HONOR View20 will have exclusive access to the HONOR GUARD outfit in Fortnite. You will be able to purchase the device from January 26 onwards at HONOR’s largest Malaysia roadshow in One Utama Shopping Centre. Early birds will receive premium free gifts worth over RM700 for purchases made during the roadshow too.
