Anthem Streamer breaks NDA, loses entire Origin Library

Non-Disclosure Agreements (aka NDA) are always present for a good reason. In the gaming industry, they protect the unreleased games by restricting information and leaks prior to release. As a result, breaking the agreements tend to land the violator in a whole lot of trouble. Unfortunately, one of the participants from the closed alpha test of Anthem did not get the memo.

In this case, the participant (or violator) live streamed his gameplay on Twitch. The action was a clear violation of the NDA. Shortly after, the streamer’s Origin app crashed. After relaunching Origin, the streamer found out that not only was Anthem missing from his library, his entire library disappeared as well. Currently, it is unclear how EA made swift work of the NDA breaker or whether the ban is temporary or not. You can check out the video below:

This is not the first time a company took this sort of action on NDA breakers. Not too long ago, Bethesda and Microsoft joined forces to take down an NDA breaker that leaked gameplay footage of Fallout 76. In conclusion, it resulted in the violator receiving bans from the beta and Xbox accounts.

Due to this incident, we highly recommend beta testers to not break their NDA regardless of the game or situation. The consequences tend to be not worth the risk.

Anthem will launch on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC on 22 February 2019. The game had a scheduled fall release prior to being pushed back to make way for Battlefield V. For more information on Anthem, you can check out the official site.
