Acer has revealed more details on their latest gaming chair, Acer Predator Thronos. Its various features make it stand out among gaming chairs in the industry.
Acer first announced the chair back in August 2018. The chair redefines what a gaming chair should be. Instead of a standard gaming chair, Acer Predator Thronos looks more like a gamer’s cave. The unit is made from steel and resembles a first-class airline seat. The Thronos is 1.5 meters tall and comes in black with white or blue accents.
The unit comes with the Predator Orion 9000 CPU as part of the structure. The CPU runs on 8th Generation Intel i7 processor and stores 2 NVIDIA GTX 10 series.
The chair features a few modes up to the user’s preferences. The highlight is the gravity zero mode. The mode is designed to provide high levels of comfort for the user. Speaking of comfort, the user can adjust the screen level. This gives users options to determine their best comfort level.
Additionally, the chair will vibrate following the game music. This bears similarities to console controllers where music vibrations will cause the controller to vibrate as well. The chair follows a similar concept. Users can control the level of vibration with a controller that comes with the chair. The music volume also determines the vibration levels. For example, the higher the volume, the stronger the vibration.
Furthermore, the chair has 3 monitors on it. By default, the monitors run at 144Hz refresh rate. However, the overclock boost can raise it to 165Hz. The lighting around the chair can be turned on and off depending on the user’s needs. Lastly, the chair has its own USB ports. This feature brings convenient to users as they no longer need to attach it to the CPU.
How to order the chair
